HTML <progress> Tag

The <progress> tag in HTML is used to represent the progress of a task. It can be used to indicate how far along a process is, such as loading a webpage, uploading a file, or completing a survey.

How it works

The <progress> tag requires two attributes: value and max. The value attribute specifies the current progress, while the max attribute specifies the total value of the task.

Here's an example of how to use the <progress> tag:

<progress value="50" max="100"> 50% </progress>
This code will display a progress bar that is 50% complete.

Main tag attributes

Attribute Description
value Specifies the current progress value
max Specifies the maximum value of the progress

Here's an example of a progress bar indicating the completion of a survey:

<progress value="3" max="5"> 60% complete </progress>
This code will display a progress bar that is 60% complete.

Experiment with different values for the value and max attributes to see how the progress bar changes.
