HTML
Tag

The
tag in HTML is used to represent a thematic grouping of content within a document. It helps to organize and structure the content of a webpage. The
tag is often used to divide a webpage into various sections such as chapters, headers, footers, or other content blocks.

Here is an example of how the
tag can be used in HTML:

Introduction

This is the introduction section of the webpage.

Main Content

This is the main content section of the webpage.

In the example above, we have two
tags that each contain a heading (
) and a paragraph (
). This helps to visually separate and organize different parts of the webpage.

Here is a table showing the main attributes of the
tag and their uses:

Attribute Description
class Specifies one or more class names for the
tag, which can be used to apply CSS styling
id Specifies a unique id for the
tag, which can be used to target the element with CSS or JavaScript
style Specifies CSS styles to be applied to the
tag

The
tag is a block-level element, which means it will start on a new line and take up the full width of its container. It is often used in conjunction with other structural elements such as the
tag to further organize the content of a webpage.
