HTML <ul> Tag

The <ul> tag is used in HTML to create an unordered list. This tag is often used in conjunction with the <li> tag, which represents each item in the list. The <ul> tag should contain one or more <li> tags to define the list items.

How <ul> Works

The <ul> tag defines a bulleted list of items. When the browser renders the list, each item will be preceded by a bullet point. Here is an example of how to use the <ul> tag:

  <li>Item 1</li>
  <li>Item 2</li>
  <li>Item 3</li>
</ul>

This code will produce a list that looks like this:

Attribute Description
type Specifies the type of marker to be used for the list items. Possible values are "disc", "circle", and "square". Default value is "disc".
compact Specifies that the list should be rendered in compact style, with reduced spacing between items.
start Specifies the starting number for the first list item. Useful for numbered lists.
